This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established, and yet rapidly expanding, specialty pharmaceutical company, currently focused on Women's Healthcare, Gastroenterology, Dermatology and Urology, but looking to extend their activities into other therapy areas. The recent high-profile acquisition of Procter & Gamble's branded prescription pharmaceuticals business has further expanded Warner Chilcott's global presence and has significantly enhanced the scale and diversity of their operations.
As part of their ongoing development, they are now looking to appoint a physician of the highest calibre to join their UK/Ireland team and to play a key role in driving their ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the Medical Director, you will provide medical and scientific support and advice to the commercial team, and manage a spectrum of key opinion leader activities, primarily in relation to their lead GI product, Asacol, but also in other key therapy areas. Additionally, you will provide medical/technical input to global Licensing & Acquisition projects and Life Cycle Management initiatives.
The Candidate profile is:
Medically qualified, and GMC registered, with clinical expertise in the GI area
Ideally, experience in the pharmaceutical industry, within Medical Affairs or Clinical Development. This would be mandatory for appointment at Senior Medical Advisor level
Track record of establishing strong working relationships with key external, as well as internal, stakeholders
Commercially astute, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to succeed in a results-driven and intellectually demanding environment.
This important position represents an excellent opportunity to grow your medical career within an exceptionally dynamic, creative and strongly entrepreneurial environment. It commands a competitive salary and benefits package, and will be located in Warner Chilcott's impressive new UK headquarters in Weybridge, Surrey, to the west of London.
