Sales Manager

Location: Field-based in Germany
Salary: Negotiable

For one of our key Clients we are seeking a Sales Manager; Medical Devices.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • To create an inspirational vision to which the team can aspire to deliver results
  • To recruit, retain and develop a team of talented sales people
  • To create tactical and strategic business plans which deliver the annual and quarterly sales budget.
People Management
  • To work on a regular basis with the Account managers within their hospitals
  • To coach and develop the Account Managers in the skills of hospital account management
  • To coach and develop the team skills in good commercial awareness
  • To support individuals to establish effective territory business plans and conduct regular individual business performance reviews
  • Develop & monitor individual progress through the company appraisal scheme
  • Develop talented individuals for future positions and recognise high performances
  • Plan and deliver regular team business meetings.
Customer Development
  • Develop good business relationships with Key opinion leaders in Germany
  • Create good working relationship with wider clinical team
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of infection prevention market
  • Manage Hospital contracts & service level agreements in line with company guidelines.
Administration
  • To ensure team compliance with Customer Management Systems
  • To develop processes and procedures for good territory management
  • Monthly team and personal expenses
  • Manage financial budgets including authorisation of promotional and team expenses.
Team working: work closely with Marketing team to help develop and implement promotional campaigns.

Candidate profile

Qualifications:

  • Science or business Degree
  • Sales or Marketing Diploma (desirable)
  • Sales Management Experience preferable (>4 years) in pharmaceutical or healthcare company.

  • High degree of integrity
  • Courage to drive through change in a professional manner
  • Excellent customer focus and service skills
  • Leadership - ability to develop and inspire sales teams
  • Proactive and the ability to take initiative with a 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills - Fluent English/German speaker.
