Medical Director

Our client is one of the world's foremost global clinical research organizations (CROs). Leading with science and innovation, the company provides global clinical drug development services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Our client has over 3,000 employees working from offices in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia.

To expand the Medical Affairs team in Germany they are currently looking for a Medical Director.

Main responsibilities:

• Accountable for providing continuous medical monitoring during study conduct
• Answer site questions on inclusion/exclusion criteria
• Evaluate Severe Adverse Events and Adverse Events
• Support the study design, generation of study protocol, and further study documents (e.g. CRF, informed consent etc.)
• Assume responsibility for the ethical aspects of the study
• Contribute to discussions with regulators and investigators as well as opinion leaders
• Support the feasibility group in developing the feasibility plan and in selecting countries.

• Licensed physician with specialization in internal medicine. Experience with infectious diseases would be a real plus
• Project leadership and good communications skills
• Competency to quickly grasp scientific principles and to develop expert understanding in the relevant field
• Strong analytical thinking skills and capacity to identify trends in medical sciences
• Experience in the German market and fluency in both in German and English.
