Together with highly specialised partners they are pressing on with the research and development of new active substances. For this they are concentrating on selected indications and the latest technological developments. They are intensively searching for innovative ways of improving pain management, pain relief and reducing side-effects.
The Company has embarked on a far-reaching restructuring with a new CEO and several new Department Heads bringing new and updated processes and procedures into the Company.
Main responsibilities
You have the supervision and responsibility for the global clinical development of a product and will develop the overall clinical strategy aims
You act as the companyˇ¦s core representative in internal and external discussions related to science, regulatory and out-licensing activities
You work closely with the affiliates and coordinate all of their activities
You manage the relationship with clinical counterparts of joint-development partners and provide the necessary representation, support and input
You manage activities related to planning and preparing a clinical project, to tracking and controlling the progress of the project as well as to analyzing, reporting and communicating scientific results
You manage an established contact network among opinion leaders in relevant disease areas.
Qualifications
You are a medical doctor or hold a PhD in Life Sciences
You have in-depth understanding of the clinical research and development function in the pharmaceutical industry from an international perspective with 8-10 years of experience
You have substantial experience in international clinical research roles, gained in a pharma/biotech company or CRO
Ideally, you are familiar with the pain/analgesia therapeutic area, otherwise experience in other CNS indications, anaesthesia or other related fields
You are familiar with European and US regulatory requirements and have previous exposure to and direct interaction with regulatory authorities
You have excellent analytical skills combined with a strategic vision
You have strong presentation and communication skills
You have proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire people and to build strong teams
You have strong organisational and project management skills
You have excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
You are fluent in English; good knowledge of German is an advantage.
