Head of Communications

For our client, a global R&D based company headquartered in Switzerland we are currently looking for an experienced communications professional for a Head of Communications role for one its key businesses. This is a communications role that focuses primarily on internal communications with an element of external communications. This is a senior global communications position that offers the ideal candidate to grow with a truly international organization. He/She has to partner with one of the clients major businesses Leadership Team to develop a communications strategy that supports the achievement of the business strategy & transformation, develops the culture and builds and protects our client`s brand.

• Provide direction to one of the main clients business Leadership Team for communication by delivering a global communications strategy
• Translate the communication strategy into actionable implementation steps and steer them to support the business Leadership Team implementing its business strategy and making the transformation a success; this will also cover the identification, design, and delivery of communication relevant projects
• Develop and provide basic global messaging platform based on collected input from key stakeholders
• Enable the business Leadership Team to be the ambassador of one of the major businesses, across client`s other businesses and to potential external stakeholders
• Coach the Leadership Team and its members to build their communication capabilities.

• Communications degree of equivalent
• Several years experience in communications, some years in internal communications is preferred
• Fluency in English both verbal and written
• Solid strategic and change management experience
• Leading communication through significant business change and transformation with experience in developing effective ways to engage large organisations in organizational transformation scenarios
• Working within a matrix in a complex global organization, and across different functions.
