Global Head of Sales

The Global Head of Sales is a high profile leadership role within the Company. You will be wholly responsible for global sales in terms of setting and executing sales strategy and building and managing the teams to deliver on the strategy. In this highly visible leadership role within the organization, you will be expected to join the senior management team. You will be an exceptionally motivated individual who is able to readily build respect and credibility with both internal and external customers.

You will understand the contract research market for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and chemicals, identify the opportunities within these markets and understand the competitive environment. You will assess the market for new opportunities and work with the Strategic and Operational leaders to establish feasibility and bring to market. You will work with the teams to develop and deliver sales plans for new business and managed accounts as well as produce and deliver to senior management an annual sales plan to achieve target sales. You will ensure that administrative and IT-based systems are in place to support an effect sales force and will build, lead and motivate an effective global sales force with suitable sales and product training programmes.

You will have a significant and impressive track record in sales and sales management. Experience within the contract research market, particularly non-clinical, and a scientific background would also be beneficial. However, sales experience and personal qualities are more important than CRO experience. One or more languages in addition to English would be advantageous.
