Our client is a leading global organisation that manufacturers and supplies a wide range of consumable and capital laboratory equipment. Due to continued growth and the expansion of their portfolio, they are now looking to appoint a European Marketing Manager to manage and grow one of their leading brands worth over $300m in annual sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the short and mid-term Sales and Marketing Action Plans (SMAP) for European markets
Support the development of strategies that contribute to the achievement of volume/mix, revenue and margin objectives/budget in alignment with the European business objectives
Implement and support the European product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning and promotion
Participate as a key member of the European Marketing and Sales teams
Develop and deliver communication packages for the sales team, customer service and distribution within budget
Work with sales teams, customers and opinion leaders to validate trends, gain market intelligence and competitor information
Monitor product demand for capacity planning, input and management of accurate product forecasting and budget
Develop and support marketing research activities (Voice of Customer) as required for local, European and global initiatives.
The ideal candidate
Degree level qualification
Marketing business qualification desirable
Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory and /or Diagnostics environment is advantageous
Broad understanding of healthcare market policies, management, tender management process and logistics
Experience of direct report or team leadership
Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and completing work
Proven track to work in a complex environment with a multitude of geographically spread stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
Self motivated with a desire for self-development
An ability to show initiative
Prepared to work away from home for extended periods
A flexible team player.
The successful candidate should be dynamic, with excellent interpersonal skills, clear and precise communication skills and the strength to propose and apply actions. This person will be able to influence and get things done, even without direct authority.
Based on a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis, this person will be the main interface for new product launches between Worldwide, European manufacturing and Local markets.
This role will require significant travel to the European Head offices in Oxford, and travel throughout Europe. For the right person, this role could be based anywhere in Europe.
