Director of Business Development

Our client is a fast-growing technology company that provides research and development services to the pharmaceutical industry. The Director of Business Development position will primarily be responsible for the identification, development and delivery of leading edge, technology focused solid state and pre-formulation R&D solutions to clients operating in the pharmaceutical sector.

The Business Development team is account based and as such the role will stretch across the key global pharmaceutical markets. Based in Europe, this role will require significant travel throughout Europe, Japan and North America, with regular travel to the headquarters in Holland. The main objectives for this person will be to win new clients, achieve sales targets in line with the business plan, and build long term strategic relationships with large and medium size pharmaceutical companies.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record and experience of selling services into pharmaceutical companies and be prepared for significant travelling.
