Our client is small, fast growing and entrepreneurial pharmaceutical company that market and distribute quality generic pharmaceuticals primarily in the UK, with opportunities to expand its operations in Western Europe.
Main responsibilities
To assist the Business Development Director in the development of budgets to support the business plan
To identify European licensing and partner development opportunities within existing and new partner organisations
To manage and grow relationships at all levels within licensing partners and ensure that the company is seen as a partner of choice
Prepare NPVs, assess the viability and make recommendations regarding potential new products for inclusion in company portfolio
Over time, there may be an opportunity to expand the role to include out-licensing activities in other EU countries.
The ideal candidate will have substantial and demonstrable successful track record in business development, licensing, alliance management, or other commercial activities within the UK generic pharmaceutical industry.
You should be able to demonstrate
a track record and strong legacy of initiating and delivering sustainable results in a generics/pharmaceutical setting, or a comparable commercially-oriented role
evidence of analysing problems correctly and making sound and timely decisions, utilising strong financial and general business management acumen
commitment to understanding customer needs and the drivers effecting different markets with the ability to anticipate and plan for significant changes
sound commercial judgments in generating ideas and robust strategies to shape the future
experience of working nationally and internationally
the ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and across teams
experience of, or appreciation of working within a small, fast growing and entrepreneurial company.
