The RSA culture
The RSA culture is built around the simple principle of treating other people exactly as we'd like to be treated ourselves - and if possible offering them a better quality of service than they expect.
We have summarised our culture in a credo. We believe that it is the foundation of more than a quarter-century of continuous growth and success. As an employee this means that our culture centres completely around you and the other people in our business. We take care to employ individuals who share our values and will be able to settle quickly in our environment and enjoy working with us. With low rates of staff turnover this philosophy appears to work.
Staff development and training
Staff development is fundamental to RSA's success and exceptional internal opportunity is reflected in unusually low staff turnover. 5% of our salary bill is spent on staff training. Many Consultants are hired with little recruitment experience. RSA recognises these individuals' potential and gives them the time, support and training necessary to become key employees.
We promote internally wherever possible and have many examples of staff progressing through multiple job functions, or taking on technical leadership or managerial responsibilities. Two thirds of our senior management team were promoted to their current roles and gained their first managerial experience with RSA.
Our values - Teamwork, Quality and Respect
The RSA culture means that the business has been built on a strong set of values centred around teamwork, respect for the individual, quality and integrity.
We reinforce teamwork by refusing to pay commission. In its place every employee participates in a group profit share scheme. The effect of the group scheme is that we all pull together and do what is best for the client, candidate and company rather than competing against each other. All for one and one for all!
Quality is a cornerstone for everything we do and we constantly assess our performance to Clients and Candidates through independently run quality surveys where we ask the recipients to compare RSA to their perceived "best in class". The results consistently demonstrate that circa 95% of both are satisfied or delighted with RSA's services.
